Each year since 1974 the Mascoutah Chamber of Commerce has selected two persons or couples to receive a Person of the Year Award. The award is presented to those individuals and couples who have distinguished themselves through their volunteer efforts in the community. Their service cannot be job related. The honorees are chosen by the past award winners. Mascoutah has always had many citizens step-up to make our community a better place to live and work.
