Each year the Mascoutah Chamber of Commerce honors two Persons of the Year for their outstanding community service. The honorees are chosen by the past winners. Individuals and couples are eligible for the award. The winner’s service may not be a part of their job nor can they paid for their service. Mascoutah is well known for the many people who volunteer their time and efforts to make Mascoutah a better place for everyone. At the April 9, 2022 Annual Dinner, the honorees for 2020 and 2021 were recognized.
The 2020 Honorees are Mr. Kevin Dawson and Ms. Phyllis Johnson. Since the 2022 dinner was postponed from January, Kevin Dawson was unable to attend.
