Greetings from Mascoutah Illinois
We would like to welcome you to our town, built on German heritage. Our town is full of diversity, with the help of a large population of military personal from SAFB. Mascoutah has experienced tremendous growth over the last 10 years, and looks to continue that trend. We offer the best of schools both public and parochial. We have a great variety of locally owned restaurants and fun interesting shops. We are located just 20 minutes east of St. Louis. Welcome to Mascoutah, come check us out, you won’t be disappointed!
The first of the new welcome signs has been installed at the west entrance to the city near the American Legion Post. When the project is completed, there will be four new signs. The new signs are powder coated and are backlit using LED lighting. They are both energy efficient and long lasting. The signs are a joint effort of the Chamber, the City and the Mascoutah Tuesday Women’s Club.
The Mascoutah Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mascoutah joined together to honor award winners from the 375th Wing at Scott Air Force Base. The winners and their guest were honored at a dinner at Roemer Topf German Restaurant in Mascoutah on March 13. The award winners were introduced to members of the Chamber, City Council, and City Staff Members in attendance. The City presented each award winner with a plaque and a city coin. The winners were also presented with a bag of items donated by local businesses and the Chamber. The entire group was honored to have Wing Commander, Col. Laura L. Linderman and Command Chief, CMSgt. WesleyD. Mathias join them at the dinner. The entire Mascoutah Community congratulates these men and women on their achievements and thanks them for their service to our country.
